CASTERA ESTATE

Franck Lihour, drawing on his experiences abroad, settled on the family estate, which has been in the family for five generations, in 2014. The vines are cultivated with respect for traditional farming wisdom, guided by observation and intuition. Disease management in the vineyard is carried out using natural products (copper, sulfur, essential oils, etc.), and the soils are enriched with manure, rocks, and a variety of plants (cereals, legumes, crucifers). Harvesting is done by hand with selective and successive sorting, winemaking is kept simple, and the aging process is gentle (in stainless steel or large containers). In short, his wines are both authentic, fruity, and profound, showcasing the full minerality of Jurançon's exceptional terroirs.
