FRERES SOULIER Late Harvest 2019 Vin de France (Gard) 50cl Maceration

€4200 EUR

Grape Variety: Late-harvest botrytized Syrah, harvested in November with a potential alcohol content of 24%

Terroir: Clay-limestone

Winemaking / Aging: Long fermentation up to 15/16% alcohol, with the remaining sugar being non-fermentable, producing a Vin Doux Naturel with approximately 100g of residual sugar. Direct pressing and oxidative aging under flor for 4 years. Only one barrel produced. No filtration or fining.

Tasting: Sweet rancio type, amber color, nose of bitter orange, fig. The palate is full-bodied, with the sugar balanced by a nice acidity.

Domaine des Frères Soulier consists of 20 contiguous hectares in Saint Hilaire d'Ozilhan, near the Pont du Gard, on a north-facing terroir composed of the same type of white limestone. The objective is to create a self-sufficient estate with high biodiversity, no neighbors, and minimal travel. 11 hectares of vines, 2 hectares of olive trees, 2 hectares of garrigue, and 5 hectares of meadows for their animals.
