CHÂTEAU DE GAYON Dou Hauret 2009 Madiran 75cl Red

€1600 EUR

Grape varieties: 60% Tannat, with the remainder split between Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon

Terroir: Clay and gravel soils

Vinification / Ageing: Aged for one year in tanks and barrels, including one-third new oak barrels.

Château du Gayon is located at the southernmost point of the Madiran appellation. The château dates back to the medieval era, long before the birth of King Henri IV or Christopher Columbus.
