DOMAINE DU GRINGET Ayze Le Feu 2022 Savoie 75cl White
Grape Variety: 100% Gringet, from "Le Feu", a registered cadastral parcel located in the commune of Marignier on a south-facing slope, composed of marl reddened by the presence of clay rich in iron oxide. This cuvée comes from two plots, "Le Feu du Haut" and "Le Feu du Bas". It is the most renowned terroir of the Ayze appellation, thanks to the work of Dominique Belluard who considered it the most important terroir, the equivalent for Gringet of what Rangen represents for Riesling or Hermitage for Marsanne.
Terroir: Red marl
Vinification: Gentle pressing for seven hours, fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged on fine lees for 9 months in concrete eggs. Unfined and unfiltered at bottling, then aged in bottle for 10 months. Light sulfite addition (total sulfur = 12mg/l).
Tasting: Le Gringet du Feu is a charming and flamboyant wine that shines with its texture and length, offering noble and refined ferruginous bitterness.
