MARC ROY Gevrey Chambertin Clos Prieur 2018 75cl Red
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Clos Prieur plot in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, very close to the Grand Cru Mazis Chambertin, with marl soil, white slabs, and red earth on the surface.
Tasting Notes: Cherry-red color of gentle intensity, with an elegant, direct, and mineral palate. Notes of plum pit and freshness on the finish give the wine great potential.
🍷 Serve at 18°C, excellent aging potential
Alexandrine Roy works at the estate founded by her father in Gevrey-Chambertin. 4 small but beautiful hectares spread across 10 plots, with lovely climates allowing her to produce 4 cuvées: 3 reds and 1 white (the latter from Marsannay). She constantly strives for excellence and purity in her work. The same patience reigns in her cellar; it is best to wait a while before tasting her wines to allow their aging to mellow. Comprising 50% new barrels, Alexandrine makes it a point of honor to perfect her long aging processes.
