SALAMANDRE Plum Brandy from Périgord 2-Year Cask 42% 70cl
Périgord's old plum brandy is a "pure fruit" brandy, made from the natural fermentation of different varieties of plums (d'Ente and Reine-Claude), harvested in the region. These fermented plums are then distilled in traditional copper stills, then aged for at least 2 years in old oak barrels. It is a smooth and very fruity brandy, reminiscent of the natural brandies made in the countryside.

The history of La Salamandre distillery in Sarlat, Périgord, is first and foremost the story of its founder, that of a passionate man and a pioneering entrepreneur.
Raymond Gatinel knows distillation well. In the past, the first frosts of winter announced the arrival of the itinerant copper still, on its cart, pulled by a horse. In all the villages, it was the activity that brought people together and warmed them.
