SALAMANDRE Armagnac Prunes 16° 20cl (Weck) Eau de Vie
In 20cl format. Prunes in Armagnac are one of those traditional peasant recipes that, at the time, allowed the surplus harvest to be preserved. Made from slightly dried Ente plums, the preparation of the prunes has remained artisanal at the Distillerie de la Salamandre: the fruit's flavor is preserved, enhanced with a hint of Armagnac, and lightly sweetened. A natural recipe, a small treat to enjoy with your fingers at the end of a meal, or to incorporate into your dishes, both sweet and savory.
The story of the La Salamandre distillery in Sarlat, Périgord, is above all the story of its founder, that of a passionate man and a pioneering entrepreneur.
Raymond Gatinel knows distillation well. In the past, the first frosts of winter announced the arrival of the itinerant copper still, on its cart, pulled by a horse. In every village, it was the activity that brought men together and warmed them up.
