A French whisky with Bourbon ambitions! Not a bad idea for France's biggest corn producers!
After brewing the beer with 80% corn, 10% rye, and 10% barley, fermentation lasted 5 days, then the beer is ready to be distilled in double-heated Charentais stills. Aging takes place in barrels from fine Bordeaux estates, but re-charred!
Note that the stoneware bottle preserves the whisky by filtering UV rays.
Tasting Notes: A gourmet nose of ripe fruit, the palate is intensely round with notes of fresh nuts, followed by a finish enhanced by a light toastiness.
Its freshness will create a beautiful balance for an aperitif or to accompany coffee or cocoa mignardises?!
