VIAL MAGNERES RanFio Cino sous Voile IGP Côte Vermeille 50cl Dry Rancio Blanc
Grape varieties: 80% Grenache Gris & 20% Grenache Blanc
Terroir: 70-year-old vines, Cambrian soil composed of decomposing brown schist
Aging: In barrel under flor for 6 to 10 years in the traditional manner, a cousin of Fino, Oloroso, and other Amontillado from Jerez
Tasting notes: A typical nose of hazelnut and dried walnut, enhanced by the ripe fruit of dried apricot. On the palate, it is very lively, with a tense attack that lasts until the finish to counterbalance the ripe fruit. A surprising and characterful flor wine for fish or poultry dishes with sauce, or as an aperitif accompanied by typical tapas: dried country ham, Collioure anchovies, tapenade…
🍷 Serving temperature 12-14°
Domaine Vial-Magnères is a family estate for 4 generations, whose 10 hectares are spread across small plots on the coastal facade of the communes of Banyuls and Port-Vendres. The cultivation of these vines is carried out on traditional, entirely manual terraces. The soils are essentially composed of decomposing Cambrian schist. In the grape varieties, Grenache dominates (90%). Yields are low and winemaking is traditional.
