Florent and Julien Mignon took over their father's 8 hectares of vineyards in Cramant and Avize in 2015, and work as naturally as possible on beautiful vines from massal selection. Aurélien Suenen offers Champagnes already highly sought after by many connoisseurs. Indeed, his work in the vineyard and cellar is precise and meticulous, his cuvées are chiseled and mineral. Wines made for pleasure or aging... magnificent!
For a little warmth and velvet this cool month, let's head to Languedoc! Thomas Chany works his small plot in Saint-Chinian in his spare time and lets us taste his 3rd vintage, a very great success! As for Mathieu and Franck from the Domaine le Chemin in the Terrasses du Larzac, these two wine fanatics have teamed up to offer their wines after a career change. Their 2018 vintage combines ripe fruit, garrigue, airiness, and juiciness! Two very pleasant cuvées, perfect for a spicy tagine, for example! Also back in stock is the delicious, fresh, and intense "Tradition" cuvée from Binet-Jacquet in Faugères, a terroir wine marked by dark fruits, spices, and the smoky schist.
Back in stock are the invigorating small cuvées that are so popular in our shop, from Clos Roussely in Touraine. Wines of pleasure to (re)discover, Gamay and Sauvignon for your raclettes and charcuterie boards!?
Let's head to Bordeaux, off the beaten track at Château Brandeau ! It's near Castillon la Bataille that Julien works naturally on plots cultivated organically since the 90s. His beautiful cuvée or his delightfully gourmet small cuvées are to (re)discover, see "Banzaï" and "Joue Franc Jeu" 2020!
A new nugget for Jurançon lovers has arrived…!! It's a great pleasure for us to receive the wines of Sébastien Comte, colleague and friend of a certain Jean Baptiste Semmartin from Domaine Lajibe, together they do magnificent work on the beautiful "Haure" plot in Lucq de Béarn... Sébastien gets some grapes in exchange for a little elbow grease and ages them in his own very natural way!
And finally! It's still the season to taste, with or without moderation, the Fermentation 2021 by La Roche Buissière! A Grenache just out of its tank, a little sweet treat, a fermented grape juice, a perfect aperitif wine!
