DOMAINE HAUGAROT Esberit 2023 Jurançon Sec 150cl Magnum White

Tasting Notes: A deep colour, with a nose of juicy yellow fruits and a subtle stony note. The attack is vibrant, while the palate is both full-bodied and precise, revealing ripe white peach and hazelnut flavours. The long, lively, and mouthwatering finish carries a beautiful minerality straight from the terroir.

Jean-Pierre Proharam founded his estate in 2004. His father already owned some vines, with the harvest being sold to the local cooperative. Located on the hillsides of Lasseube, his vineyards enjoy excellent exposure, with the stunning Pic du Midi d'Ossau as a backdrop.
Jean-Pierre is highly attentive to the environment and the well-being of his vines; everything is cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming, with a strong focus on careful observation! Deeply attached to Occitan culture, the names of his cuvées reflect this heritage: Sonque Ta Tu ("Nothing but for you," dedicated to his daughter) and Esberit ("Spirited" for his son).
A fun fact: for four generations, the eldest son in the family has been named Jean in tribute to the Pic du Midi d'Ossau, which locals affectionately call "Jean-Pierre"!
