GARRIGUETTES Fleur de Lune 2023 Côtes du Rhône 75cl White
Grape Varieties: Grenache Blanc, Viognier & Clairette
Terroir: The vineyard plots are located at the foot of the slopes of Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne. The Clairette and Grenache Blanc vines grow in clay-limestone soils, while the Viognier vines thrive in clay-silt soils.
Vinification: Direct pressing; 95% destemmed, 5% whole bunches. Natural vinification (no additives) at cold temperatures. Full maceration for 20 days.
Ageing: On fine lees in concrete vats (90%) & demi-muids (10%).
Tasting Notes: A bright golden straw colour. A fruity nose with hints of pear and pineapple. Delicate and fresh, the attack is dominated by white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear), followed by a roundness with notes of poached fruits and honey, finishing with a mineral touch that retains freshness.
🍷 Serving Temperature: 10-11°C
Located in the commune of Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne in the Vaucluse, Domaine des Garriguettes cultivates 50 hectares of vineyards using organic farming practices. The estate grows grape varieties traditionally associated with Châteauneuf-du-Pape on rolled pebble soils. Grenache Noir and Blanc, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Clairette Blanche all find the ideal conditions here to reach optimal ripeness. The result is wines with a smooth, enveloping mouthfeel and a Mediterranean fruit expression, perfect for pairing with Provençal dishes and convivial aperitifs!
