Alexandre Hote spent around twenty years working on the family estate, where the grapes were sent to the local cooperative. In 2019, as he turned 40, he decided to take the plunge and start his own winemaking journey. Supported by his wife and children, who are actively involved in the estate, he was driven by a desire to craft freer, more expressive wines and to showcase the true potential of his terroir.
His 4.5-hectare estate lies between Tavel and Lirac and is farmed organically, with a focus on growing healthy grapes as close to nature as possible. On clay-limestone terraces covered with striking rolled pebbles, Alexandre prioritises terroir and fruit, favouring manual work and natural treatments in the vineyard. His winemaking style follows the same philosophy: minimal intervention and maximum authenticity.
